Life enrichment activities are great opportunities for children to socialize, learn and grow.
 

Special Note: Fee listed 1st is for those that live within the USD #464 School District. 2nd fee listed is for out-of-district participants.

Art Club
Let your imagination soar with Art Club!  Artworks for each session will be inspired by classic stories and ideas with well known, award winning books.  Kids will discuss the story and then create an activity inspired by the characters, ideas, or themes discovered in each story. 
     
“Charlotte’s Web” by E.B. White

Students will discuss the well-known story of friendship between two very different animals: a spider who can spin amazing webs, and a loving pig. Students will create radial weavings by using twigs and yarn to create a web of their own.
When:  Thursday, October 2

     "There's a Wocket in My Pocket"

What is a wocket? Well, in this session of Art Club we will find out. Artists will create their own miniature sculptures of a wocket from their imagination.
When: Thursday, November 13

Taekwondo  Print Form>>
While famous for its wide range of kicks, Taekwondo training involves a variety of techniques, including punching, kicking, dodging, jumping, parrying and blocking.  This is a great life long recreational program for the whole family.
When:  Mondays & Thursdays, Aug. 25-Oct. 9
Where:  TES North Gym

Mini Gym Monkeys  Print Form>>
Your little one will be excited to join the other “little monkeys” at play. Toddlers are still learning how to master the skills of complete balance, running & jumping. They are also learning how to share, take turns, and interact with other little ones their age. Gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination and interaction with their new friends are all improved throughout this class. Your little one will enjoy activities such as song with movements, pint-sized obstacle course, parachute time, and more.
When:  Tuesdays, Sept. 23-Oct. 28
Time:  6 – 6:30PM
Program Fee:  $15/$18

Gym Monkeys   Print Form>>
In this class your little movers and shakers will be enjoying the gym floor with various activities from a floor balance beam, obstacle course, hoola hoops, tunnels, balls, and more. They will be exploring the world around them, making new friends, learning to take turns while exercising their gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
When:  Tuesdays, Sept. 23-Oct. 28
Time:  6:30 – 7PM                                   
Ages: 3-5
Program Fee: $15/$18

 Hunter Education Field Days  Print Form>>
This internet-assisted course is designed to help protect our hunting heritage through safe, knowledgeable and responsible hunters.  You must have access to a computer and a printer in order to complete the online version of the course.  The online portion of the course must be finished prior to the field day.  Space is limited.  Lunch will be provided.
When:  Saturday, October 11 or Saturday, November 8
Where:  City Maintenance Shop, 1536 E. 4th
Time:  8AM-5PM
Ages:  11 & up
Fee:  $5
Registration:  Space is limited to the first 25 to register.

Preschool Story Time at the Library
Songs, finger plays & stories, followed by a fun craft project.
When: Tuesdays, at 10:30AM (except for Holidays)
Where: Tonganoxie Public Libary
Program Fee: Free
Ages: Birth - 5
No pre-registration required.
